Gender role orientations, gender identity and the health lifestyles of men and women: Health behaviors as expressions of (un)doing gender?

**Short Description:** The study seeks to analyze whether and to what extent gender role orientations and gender identity contribute to explaining the well-established gender gap in health-related risk behaviors, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, unhealthy diet, risk behaviors, and avoidance of health care utilization between men and women.

**Methodological Details:** Respondents were asked about their behavior in various areas, e.g. consumption of different foods, alcohol, or cigarettes, frequency of doctor visits, and their opinions on a number of statements such as "Even if a woman works, the man should be the main breadwinner, and the woman should be responsible for the household."
